The new Ford E-Transit Courier comes with a 134bhp electric motor and a 2,900 litre cargo area at the back which can fit two Euro pallets.

Ford has revealed a new E-Transit Courier, all-electric compact commercial vehicle designed to bring enhanced connectivity and productivity for customers.

The Ford E-Transit Courier will be offered in the U.K. with full integration with Ford Pro's platform of software and connected services, which will allow firms to drive efficient operation with end-to-end charging solutions and management tools from Ford Pro Software.

A 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment display features in the cabin of the Ford E-Transit Courier
The new vehicle now gets 2,900 litres of cargo space, a 26% larger cargo area than the outgoing Transit Courier. The vehicle's width at the cargo area between the rear wheelarches is 1,220mm, enabling the compact van to carry two Euro pallets for the first time.

A load-through bulkhead feature will also allow the E-Transit Courier to carry items such as planks over 2,600mm long, while maximum payload for the vehicle is 700kg.

The Ford E-Transit Courier will be offered with a 134bhp electric motor, although more performance and range details will only be offered at a later date.

The 2,900-litre cargo space is 26% larger than the one from the outgoing E-Transit Courier
Ford does reveal, however, that the vehicle will take less than six hours to charge if plugged into an 11kW supply. Charging via a direct current supply, meanwhile, can be done at speeds of up to 100kW, allowing the car to reach 80% capacity from 10% in less than 35 minutes.

The vehicle comes with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster in the cabin, alongside a 12-inch centre touchscreen that will run Ford's latest SYNC 4 system. A 'squircle' steering wheel has been adopted to improve leg room here, while a column-mounted gear shifter, push-button ignition and an electronic handbrake all serve to increase storage space in the cabin.

The Ford E-Transit Courier will be offered with an Office Pack that includes a foldaway flat work surface and lighting to make using a laptop, filling in paperwork or taking a break in the cab easier and more comfortable.
