Jeep has updated the new Wrangler with a new front grille as well as an upgraded infotainment system, and new off-road ability.

Jeep has revealed the facelifted Wrangler.

Top story for this new Wrangler is the fact that its seven-slot grille has been updated. The slots are now slimmer, and made more prominent thanks to the use of bezels.

A redesigned front grille not only offers more cooling, but is made more prominent thanks to the addition of bezels in its slots
The new grille is said to improve cooling, while also allowing for fitment of a new 3,600kg factory installed Warn winch, which is available on Rubicon models.

The Jeep Wrangler also now comes with a new trail-ready stealth antenna which is integrated into the front windshield. This replaces the previous steel mast antenna, streamlining the Wrangler's appearance while eliminating the chance of brush or tree limb snags on the trail.

In the cabin, meanwhile, the Wrangler now gets a new 12.3-inch touchscreen that houses the fifth generation Uconnect 5 system. This system is said to deliver operating speeds that are five times faster when compared to the previous generation and will be able to receive over-the-air updates.

All Wrangler models now come with 12.3-inch touchscreen that houses the fifth generation Uconnect 5 system
Hands-free voice recognition is now standard across all trim levels of the Jeep Wrangler, while high-trim models including the High Altitude, Rubicon X and Rubicon 392 will all get a standard premium cabin package that adds acoustic front glass, thicker carpets, and additional sound deadening foam in the windshield header, front cowl, and B-pillars for a quieter ride.

Wrangler Rubicon models will also get a Dana 44 HD full-float solid rear axle and a Rock-Trac part-time transfer case, while the Rubicon X trim will get a Rock-Trac full-time transfer case and integrated off-road camera.

The Jeep Wrangler range continues to start with the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe, which utilises a 2.0-litre engine and a 17kWh battery to produce a system total of 370bhp and 637Nm of torque. This 4xe model is getting a new Power Box that features four 120V outlets with 30A of total output, allowing the users to power external devices such as phones and tablets.

This Wrangler is also available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, with 266bhp and 400Nm of torque. The 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 will also continue to do service, offering a total of 281bhp and 353Nm of torque. The powertrain lineup will be led by a 6.4-litre V8 with a total of 464bhp and 637Nm of torque.
