BMW of North America has announced that it will be partnering with Scenic America to plant 25 trees for every electric vehicle test drive at participating BMW centres in the U.S.A between 18 April and 1 May 2023.
Scenic America, a non-profit organisation dedicated to safeguarding the U.S.A's scenic qualities will be planting the trees in fire-damaged woodlands.
BMW currently offers three all-electric models in the U.S.A: The BMW iX, i4, and the i7. The BMW i5 Sedan is also set to join this lineup later in 2023.
The firm reports it sold a total of 6,588 battery electric vehicles in the first quarter of 2023 which accounting for a total of 8% of total unit sales in the U.S.A. The firm is targeting to raise this number to a total of at least one million fully electric vehicles by 2030.
