Mercedes-Benz U.S.A has launched the EQS580 City Edition, a special edition EQS that will be limited to 150 examples and made exclusively for the greater Los Angeles region.

Designed to offer customer easy access to all their inner-urban mobility needs, the Mercedes EQS City Edition will come complete with a free home charger, as well as credits for the installation of the charger in the customer's home. This will come on top of the two-year unlimited 30-minute charging sessions via Electrify America's direct current charging network already offered with the standard EQS.

But to ensure that customers will be able to beat the infamous inner-city traffic of Los Angeles, the EQS City Edition will also come with a one-year all-access subscription for the Unagi Model One Voyager electric scooter. Complete with 40km of range, the one-year all-access subscription includes insurance, maintenance, and a Model One Voyager in the customer's choice of colour.

And to beat that Los Angeles smog, the EQS City Edition further comes equipped with Mercedes' Energising Air Control Plus with HEPA filtration. The three-stage air filtration system can remove 99% of particulate pollution similar to an operating room. Activated charcoal filtration also helps remove ultrafine particles, smog, and odours from the cabin air.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS comes in Manufaktur Diamond While Metallic, with either a Macchiato Beige or a Space Grey Leather. The car can also be opted with a Twilight Blue Metallic exterior paint, although this car will be available with either Neva Grey or Sable Brown Leather. All City Edition cars will come with AMG wheels, alongside a unique badge that features the outline of the state of California on the exterior and centre console.
