Opel has launched the facelifted Grandland here in Singapore.
The car has dropped the 'X' suffix to its name but has gained a significant boost to its design. Up front, it now follows the design language we first saw in the Opel Mokka and Mokka-e. So, this new Grandland now sports a strong and chiselled front as opposed to the more rounded design of its predecessor.
The Opel Grandland utilises a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10-inch central display in its cabin At the rear, the car also gets slim horizontal taillights to match the new design at the front. These flank the Blitz brand logo and 'Grandland' text in middle of the tailgate.
In the cabin, the Opel Grandland has also been redesigned so it now features the firm's 'Pure Panel' dashboard, designed to be detoxed of distracting elements.
This panel merges a 12-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10-inch central display that houses Opel's IntelliLink infotainment system which offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Drivers will also be able to refer to this central display to check for obstacles when parking their Grandland, thanks to the panoramic view camera. But of course, hands-free parking is also possible thanks to the Grandland's advanced parking assistant, which can identify longitudinal and transverse parking spaces and steer in and out of them automatically.
514-litre boot can be easily accessed via a powered tailgate The car also comes with adaptive cruise control, which allows it to maintain its distance to the vehicle in front according to a set speed, while lane keep assist will help the driver to keep the Grandland within its own lane.
