Ineos Automotive, manufacturer of the Grenadier off-road vehicle, the announced that it will be developing a new electric 4x4 vehicle in conjunction with automotive supplier Magna.
Magna has previously also worked with Ineos Automotive to develop the Grenadier station wagon and pick-up models, and an agreement between the two firms has already been signed to start production of the new 4x4 at Magna's Graz, Austria facility in 2026.
The development process for this new 4X4 will include a rigorous testing programme on Austria's Schockl mountain, which is close to Magna's complete vehicle assembly facility.
The new electric 4x4 is said to be smaller than the Grenadier, while continuing to offer world-class off-road capability, without compromising on-road comfort or performance.
