Bentley is marking the coronation of King Charles III with a limited series of bespoke cabin cushions for a fleet of Bentleys.
Made in colours including Cricketball, Cumbrian Green, Imperial Blue and Saddle, utilising 1.4mm thick leather with accent piping of Beluga, Porpoise, Newmarket Tan and Imperial Blue respectively.
The colours of the special coronation cabin cushions have been chosen to fit into the interiors of the Bentleys that will use them They also come complete with the Coronation Emblem sewn in Black, White, Red and Blue thread, and all take their size and shape from the cushions of the 1958 S1 Continental Flying Spur in Bentley's Heritage Collection. They are all made from hides sourced from Northern Europe, where the temperate climate and lack of barbed wire fencing reduces imperfections.
The stitching on the cushions, meanwhile, comprise nearly 30,000 stitches each, with two separate thread colours forming three different colourways all designed to contrast the selected hide colours and to match the interiors of the Bentleys that will use them.
These cars include two Bentayga EWBs and two Bentayga Hybrids, and one other highly bespoke Bentley. These Bentleys will stay as the firm's own press cars for a time and will not be available for purchase.
