Bentley Americas has announced that it has achieved carbon neutrality certification for its 59 retailer-strong network from the Carbon Trust - a global climate consultancy driven by the mission to accelerate the move to a decarbonised future.
The retailers have spent the last 12 months working with the Carbon Trust to measure their carbon footprint, and committing to a carbon reduction plan, on top of offsetting their remaining emissions. These measures initially included supporting tree planting, but now also includes actions that include the switching of staff vehicles to battery-electric or plug-in hybrid one, as well as eliminating single use plastics.
Bentley was the first U.K.-based automotive manufacturer to be awarded the triple Carbon Trust Standard for carbon, water and waste reduction at its Crewe headquarters since 2018.
