DiversityInc has named Toyota North America one of its 2023 Top 50 Companies for Diversity.
The firm ranked 4th among more than 150 companies participating in the survey. Toyota also took the overall 4th spot last year and continues to be the only automotive manufacturer ranked in the Top 10.
The rankings are said to be empirically driven and based on company-submitted data in six key areas including: Leadership Accountability, Human Capital Diversity Metrics, Talent Programs, Workforce Practices, Supplier Diversity and Philanthropy.
Toyota North America also received special recognition in 14 of the Top 25 Specialty Lists. These include securing the first spot for LGBTQ employees, as well as talent acquisition for women of colour. It also ranked as the second company for Asian executives, and for black executives, while securing the third spot as the top company for female executives.
