Mercedes-Benz have launched the updated B-Class Sports Tourer and A-Class Hatchback and Saloon here in Singapore.

For the B-Class, visual updates include redesigned head lights, as well as a new grille and bumpers, all designed to give the sports tourer a touch of added visual aggression. The car's flush-mounted wheels now can be had with four additional rim designs, available in sizes as large as 19-inches.

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class continues to sport the twin 10.25-inch displays, as well as the turbine-look air vents and the gloss black centre console. However, the MBUX infotainment system has been updated with three new display styles alongside seven colour worlds. The car's telematics system also now gets a fingerprint sensor so it can identify the driver.

The steering wheel has also been updated, and comes with a nappa leather rim as standard. Mercedes has also updated the 'Hey Mercedes' voice-activated assistant so it can now guide you to connect your phone with the vehicle, or to locate the first-aid kit.

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is being offered here at launch as a B180 Progressive. This model continues to utilise a 1.33-litre engine producing 129bhp and 230Nm of torque, although it now gets the benefit of a 48V mild hybrid system. This engine will see the B-Class sprinting to 100km/h in 9.2 seconds, and achieving a WLTP fuel economy of 16.1km/l.

The design changes to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class mirror those found in the Sports Tourer.

Here, there's also new head lights as well as a redesigned grille, although the A-Class also gets new bonnet bulges for increased muscularity, while the rear diffuser of the hatch and saloon has also been redesigned.

The A-Class also gets the upgrades to its MBUX infotainment system, although in the cabin, the car is available here with three different colours if you opt for the 'Progressive' trim.

The Mercedes A-Class is available here both as a hatchback and a saloon body. The range starts with the A180, which utilises a 1.33-litre enigne producing 129bhp and 230Nm of torque. Customers may also opt for the A200 AMG Line, which gets a total output of 161bhp and 270Nm of torque. Both these engines also now come with 48V mild hybrid technology.

Finally, if its sporty performance you're after, these updates have also been applied to the AMG models of the A-Class.

Available here in both hatchback and saloon body styles is the A35 AMG, which gets a 301bhp 2.0-litre engine that develops 400Nm of torque. This engine also now gets 48V mild hybrid technology. This model now sports a new bonnet with power bulges and a new front apron.

The A45 AMG, meanwhile, is only available as a hatchback, and now comes with revised head lights, a new spoiler, as well as a new wheel design. This model gets a 416bhp engine that produces 500Nm of torque.
