FSG Mobility Concepts (Fast, Sexy and Green), the regions first electric-mobility concept store and the exclusive distributor of the Tesla Roadster in Singapore, teams with Tesla’s worldwide partner TAG Heuer as it commemorates its racing heritage with an exhibition, “Mastering Speed for 150 years”, spanning from September 22 through October 12 at ION Orchard.
The Tesla Roadster Signature 250 - of which 250 were produced worldwide, will be on showcase at the courtesy of FSG Mobility just outside Singapore’s exclusive luxury mall, ION Orchard. The Tesla Roadster is the world’s first electric car in commercial production that delivers supercar performance with zero tailpipe emissions. The Roadster accelerates like a jet plan from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and consumes no petroleum. A single charge from a standard 3-pin wall socket is all it takes for the Roadster to travel nearly 400 km.
With a highly limited production (less than 50 units a month worldwide), the Tesla is owned and driven by celebrities and wealthy entrepreneurs including Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Cameron Diaz and Google co-founders Larry Paige and Sergey Brin.
“TAG Heuer has always been associated with motor racing, and as Tesla is a global partner, we thought showcasing one of FSG’s electric supercars during TAG Heuer’s exhibition and during the 2011 Formula 1 period, would be the perfect opportunity to educate car enthusiasts that performance and design are not sacrificed with epic eco-cars like the Tesla” says David Chou, Managing Director of eV Hub, the parent company of FSG Mobility Concepts.
Avid racing fans can also test their driving skills on two TAG Heuer F1 car simulators and race against other participants to win TAG Heuer merchandise. The exhibition will be an opportunity for TAG Heuer to introduce this year’s Singapore Limited Edition timepieces that have been specially crafted for Singapore’s fourth Formula 1 Night Race: The TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 Automatic Chronograph and the Formula 1 Lady Ceramic Chronograph with black diamonds.
