Honda rumouredly keen to add crossover model to Fit / Jazz stable

Word is circulating in the rumour mills that Japanese automaker, Honda is currently in plans to spawn a small crossover model based off the next-generation Honda Fit/Jazz. The move is believed to have taken cue from the success of the Nissan Juke. The source, a Japanese newspaper also added that the addition of the crossover could see Honda sell another 400,000 units per year on top of its current 800,000 unit sales figure worldwide. Automotive News added that if the story turns out to be true, Honda may build the Fit-based crossover model alongside the hatchback at its new Mexican plant that is scheduled to open in 2014.
