Lexus brought its LF-LC concept down under in a new paint job

Finished in an eye soothing and unique Opal Blue, the LF-LC Blue concept follows up on the original and stunning LF-LC that first premiered during the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. Falling back to the host country, the new Opal Blue exterior is inspired by a natural base colour from a semi-precious opal stone, usually found in the outbacks of Australia.

The LF-LC Blue combines advanced technologies and materials including lightweight carbon fibre and previews the next generation hybrid powertrain. Working on past experiences, the LF-LC Blue marries carbon fibre and aluminium to achieve a light body weight.

The new Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, features a powerful Atkinson cycle combustion engine bundled with an advanced high-energy battery pack. The combined power output of the LF-LC Blue comes to 500bhp, the most for any Lexus hybirds.

Lexus Australia's Tony Cramb commented the LF-LC Blue could underpin the basis for supercars of tomorrow.
