BMW has released the first details about the i3 coupe concept before its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Essentially a three-door version of the i3 concept, the coupe features a revised exterior with a modified front fascia, restyled doors and new side skirts. There's also an updated rear end with a new tailgate and a revised bumper. Despite various changes, the distinctive 'stream flow' design makes the model instantly recognisable as an 'i' variant. This concept has a two-tone exterior with 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in low rolling-resistance tyres.
The model measures 3,964mm long, 1,768mm wide and 1,555mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,570mm.
The interior of the i3 Concept Coupe is designed to feel spacious and have a lounge-style ambience. Leather, wool and other renewable raw materials are used throughout to make the car eco-friendly, along with light eucalyptus wood trim and brushed aluminum accents.
The coupe uses a 170bhp electric engine that puts out 250Nm of torque to the real wheels through a single-speed transmission. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery which enables the model to travel up to 160km on a single charge.
