Toyota previews new styling language for future Corolla through Furia concept

Like we predicted during the teaser reveal, the Furia concept is a design study for the next generation Corolla. Yes you read that right - Corolla - the bread and butter vehicle of Toyota.
Currently the concept is 4,620 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and sits on 19-inch aluminium alloy wheels at 1,425 mm tall. Like the 86, Toyota is forgoing the 'boring' image the brand has carried over the years and has opted for a youthful, dramatically expressive image.
Bill Fay, Group Vice President and General Manager of the Toyota Division, detailed the Furia concept, "The Corolla Furia Concept is an early indicator of where our compact car design may lead in the future. It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people."
The design theme is set around 'Iconic Dynamism' where pure and simple elements combine to create a confident, and recognisable presence - in a bid to appeal to the current iCrowd. The design has served its purpose we must say with a swept windshield, sloped roofline and bulging fender flares.
Unlike the hereditary boxy design its ancestors carry, the Furia offers us much more aggressive with a blacked-out grille, striking lamp work all around and interestingly - carbon fibre highlights. Carbon fibre on a Toyota Corolla, that must mean something right?
