It is almost the end of 2013, but 2014 is already shaping up to be a remarkable year in terms of car launches, be it local or international, and upcoming concepts from several automakers. Among the long string of upcoming cars is the MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) - whose concept will formally debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2014 in Detroit.

The longer wheelbase and wider track has a direct effect on driving characteristics while weight savings and smoother aerodynamics have contributed significantly to the car's driving talents and have a positive influence on the MINI JCW Concept.
Large air intakes and precisely formed air-channelling elements mark out the front apron, while the front fascia poses LED headlights and black surround for the front grille.
The model-specific JCW kit comprises special side skirts and a rear apron with flaps and a diffuser element. A roof spoiler and additional body components channel air efficiently around the C-pillars for optimised aerodynamic balance at high speeds.
The Bright Highways Grey exterior paint shade, which reminds us of the stainless steel body on the DMC DeLorean, is made possible thanks to a special manufacturing process. The hand polished surface layer is finished with a clear coat and the resulting lustrous sheen of the paintwork further accentuates the eye-catching structures of its pigment layer.
The humble paint finish contrasts the red roof, roof spoiler and exterior mirror caps while white Sport Stripes are adorned in Chili Red for the bonnet and boot lid, and white for the roof.
The Concept is fitted with sports exhausts bundled to a silencer system, and the chrome finished twin tailpipes promise an unmistakable soundtrack.
