Volume non-hybrid sports car from Audi Sport quattro concept
02 Jan 2014|3,075 views
There are new rumours regarding the Audi Sport quattro Concept shown in Frankfurt last September. According to sources, Audi intends to build a road going version that may likely shed the hybrid element.
It is understood that the car will still use a considerable amount of carbon fibre and aluminum in its construction, though it will still adopt more of the underpinnings and particularly the track of the A6 or A7. Even so, the target weight is just 1,300kg, which is less than the 1984 Audi Ur-quattro.
If rumours are true, then a 2.5-litre TFSI five-cylinder could see duty in the car, at least as one of several engines offered.
