A track fault on the East-West Line affected train service between Tampines and Tanah Merah on Wednesday night at around 10:00pm. Engineers were on site to fix the fault and train service was resumed before 11:30pm.

Train operator SMRT updated its official Twitter channel at around 10:45pm saying a track fault has occurred. Free bus bridging services were also arranged to help affected commuters.
