As the first unit of the McLaren 650S rolled off production lines at the McLaren Production Centre in Woking, U.K. last week, McLaren Automotive has released performance numbers and confirmed pricing ahead of the global debut at the 84th International Geneva Motor Show.
The latest addition to the McLaren range accelerates to 100km/h from rest in just 3.0 seconds, and can reach 200km/h in a dizzying 8.4 seconds. The standing quarter mile (400m) takes 10.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 333km/h.
The latest model from McLaren is a full second quicker than the legendary McLaren F1 supercar to 200km/h, and 0.6 sec faster over the standing quarter mile. This represents a sprint time to 200km/h more than half a second quicker than the rapid 12C, which continues in production.
Despite these impressive performance figures, the 650S boasts a high level of luxury specification. Carbon ceramic brakes sit behind unique '650' lightweight alloy wheels which are shod with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres. In the Alcantara trimmed cabin, features include satellite navigation, digital radio, wireless tethering, audio streaming and voice control as standard.
Efficiency is also not overlooked as the spots car sips 11.7L/100km commuted on the EU combined cycle, while emitting 275g/km of CO2. Pricing for the McLaren 650S Coupe starts at £195,250 (S$414,506), with the 650S Spider starting at £215,250 (S$456,965).
