The first Autobacs store overseas opened in Taiwan in 1991 and the company expanded its market to Singapore in May 1995. In Singapore, it was initially opened in Paya Lebar district and then relocated to the current Bukit Batok location in November 2003.

In overseas market, the company currently operates stores in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, France, U.S.A., and China.

The new store is located on 3 Ubi Avenue between Paya Lebar Road and Eunos Link, only 2km from the expressway exit and near the main street with heavy traffic. In its surroundings, there are many other car-related companies such as car dealer and used car center. Complimenting Bukit Batok branch, Autobacs expects this opening to increase recognition and respect for brand and to promote synergy between the two stores.

At Ubi store, retail and service space is located on the second floor, while the first has been reserved for parking. Similar to the AUTOBACS stores in Japan, the Ubi branch is a one-stop shopping store for automotive goods and services.

Main features of the Autobacs Ubi store:

- Over 10,000 items including tires and wheels, maintenance and repair goods, car accessories, and motor sports goods. The store is the first retailer that sells run-flat tires in Singapore. There is also a luxurious sound corner for audiophiles, along with a special "Kids Corner."

- The new store's service pits offer a variety of services ranging from basic tire and oil change services to more advanced installations of car audios and motor sports goods. Customers are able to observe the service progress of their cars through special glass partitions.

- A state-of-the-art electric wheel balancer was also introduced affording wheel alignment diagnosis for customers with a before and after print-out to enable direct comparison.

- A "one-coin pit service" at the new store offers quick and inexpensive maintenance service packs such as side-glass water-repelling coating and interior sanitizing and deodorizing. This service menu has been currently offered at the domestic Autobacs stores in Japan.

The Autobacs Ubi store will open its doors to the public on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. It is located at 10 Ubi view, Singapore 408543 with parking available for up to 45 cars, and 11 vehicle service bays. Opening hours are from 10am to 8pm, all year long.
