VARTA dealers honoured at dinner hosted by HT Group

HT Group, the authorised distributor for VARTA batteries in Singapore, hosted its third annual dealers' dinner last Saturday. VARTA, which is owned by Clarios, is a 139-year old brand whose batteries are chosen by numerous car manufacturers to be fitted as original equipment in various models.
The dinner, which took place at Furama RiverFront, showcased HT Group's appreciation for its dealers, stakeholders, and key partners. During the evening, top-performing dealers were awarded plaques to commemorate their achievements.
At the event, participants were entertained by a drinking relay contest, and a rhyming game. The former pitted two teams against each other to see which one's members could finish their beer first, but each person could only start drinking after the person beside him finished their beer.
For the latter game, each participant had to name the item in a photo highlighted onscreen. However, this was easier said than done, as the music and item sequences (e.g. sun, gun, run, sun, sun, run, run, gun, sun) are designed to confuse and cause players to name the wrong object.
A lucky draw, which awarded lucky winners prizes ranging from vouchers, vacuum cleaners, an iPad, and an iPhone 17 Pro Max, was also conducted.
On a more serious note, HT Group underscored the importance of their strong partnerships with various firms that have supported the growth of the VARTA brand. This is significant, as the trend of drivers holding onto their vehicles longer means an increased need for battery replacement.
The increase in the electric vehicle (EV) population also presents the dealers with opportunities for business. This is because components such as headlamps, tail lamps, audio systems, and the starter motor, are still powered by a 12-volt system, not directly from the high-voltage battery pack.
HT Group also mentioned that it "remained committed to adaptability and collective progress." And as a timely reminder of the current headwinds buffeting the industry, it wants to ensure that both people and business will keep moving forward regardless of conditions.
