B&B tunes the Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolets

The styling package is subtle yet classy, and consists of a new aerodynamic kit with new 20-inch wheels fitted with 255/30-20 tyres, as well as adjustable suspension and large tailpipes to give the cabriolets a sporty look.

Most of the changes happen under the hood. The base A5 Cabriolet 2.0 TFSI has been given an electronics modification and an increase in boost pressure to push the power output up to 250bhp and 400Nm. The second and third stage of the tuning package further increases the power output to 260bhp and 295bhp respectively, while the final stage of tuning eventually puts out 310bhp and 465Nm of torque. All this is achieve through new airflow systems and a different turbocharger, among other changes.

As for the A5 2.0 TDI common rail diesel version, which has 170bhp and 350Nm of torque as standard, B&B has given it a two stage upgrade, with the first stage giving 200bhp and 400Nm, and the second stage producing 220bhp and 420Nm.

The bigger 3.0 TDI engine also gets two stages of upgrades from its standard 280bhp and 585Nm. The first stage increases power to 300bhp and 600Nm, while the second stage gives out 325bhp and 640Nm. Finally, for the top of the range S5 model, the engine electronics were optimised and a sport exhaust system installed to produce a final power output of 415bhp and 520Nm of torque.
