Bentley Home is marking its first ever home office at its Atelier location with the release of the Bentley Home 2024 Collection, unveiled during Milan Design Week 2024.
Bentley Home's latest collection consists of six pieces, all of which were crafted in celebration of materiality, lightness of form and the brand's first step into its newest home office at its Atelier, located within Palazzo Chiesa.
The pieces in the newest collection are said to provide a fresh perspective on contemporary luxury furniture, and were crafted in collaboration with designers Carlo Colombo, Federico Peri and Francesco Forcellini. These designers were selected based on their knowledge, innovative use of new sustainable materials, as well as use of leading-edge production technology which enables them to work closely with the Bentley Motors Design Team to boost customisation levels.
The six pieces in the Bentley Home 2024 Collection include the Wilton desk and Bollington office armchair, both of which are designed by Francesco Forcellini. Carlo Colombo, meanwhile, designed both the Langport bed alongside the Chilton armchair and chair, while Fredrico Peri finishes the collection off with the Loftus sofa.
The Wilton Desk acts as a symbol of dynamism and clean lines, combined with craftsmanship in its curved details. Its dual-shell profile, when opened, reveals drawers beneath its top which seamlessly transition into a slender line towards the base, further accentuating a sense of lightness. The piece that will be displayed at Milan Design Week comes finished in Liquid Amber and sports an exclusive Dark Shadow special customisation alongside a Warm Grey Fiddleback Sycamore with Deep Ocean special customisation.
The sleek design and powerful aesthetic presence of the Bollington office armchair, meanwhile, captures the quintessential characteristics of Bentley. Its backrest features a minimalist design, achieving a balance of volume when paired with the Wilton desk, fulfilled through a singular surface which is curved in three dimensions. The seat is able to expand in two lateral sections, defining the armrests and offering an organic and flowing echo of the desk's form.
The Langport bed is labelled as one of the most iconic pieces for Bentley Home. The bed can be heavily customised with options in veneering the external panels which is combined with black lacquer and can be crafted in leather or fabric. Choices for the internal headboard include fabric, leather, and even sustainable leather for those who want to go green. Panels on the bed feature a Striped Diamond pattern completed with metal inlays, and the piece comes with reading lights inserted into the headboard that provide a soft, ambient glow, enhancing charm and inviting relaxation.
The Chilton seating line, consisting of an armchair and chair is designed by Carlo Colombo in collaboration with not just Bentley Home Style office but also the Bentley Motors Design Team. The curves on the line reveal a sequence of contours and radii which extends from the seat to the ground, while its outer shell features bands of veneer which are inserted into the leather shell, further emphasising a sense of dynamism and acting as a strong nod to the automotive world.
The final piece of the collection is the Loftus sofa. Fredrico Peri brings his sophisticated approach of sculptural lines and new organic shapes to its design, seen through the floating cushions which provide a sense of lightness which is further enhanced by the integrated side tables. Customers have the option to style these tables in either marble or to have them covered in leather. The play of different layers boasts ribbed textures, beveled edges and lines, all taking inspiration from automotive design while giving off a geometric, vibrant and asymmetric look. The back of the sofa features a gentle slope, allowing peeks of the back cushions to seep through. Customers can also opt to have this back of their sofa in an exclusive open pore veneer finishing.
