Fiat Abarth 695 gets a little more Italian
26 May 2012|2,464 views

Power comes from a turbocharged 1.4-litre T-Jet engine producing 178bhp and 249Nm torque, mated to a five-speed Abarth Competizione gearbox with manual override. Expect the convertible Maserati 695 to sprint to 100km/h in less than 7.0sec with top speed in excess of 225km/h. A dual-mode exhaust increases noise levels above 3000rpm.
To endure the added power, new Koni shock absorbers are fitted, with larger 305mm Brembo brakes. The car gets new shoes with 17-inch Maserati-inspired alloys. The 695 is finished in ‘Pontevecchio Bordeaux’ paint while the interior gets a contrast sand beige leather seats with special logos JBL sound system. Owners will even receive a Tramontano leather luggage set.
Pricing for the limited Maserati-inspired Abarth 695 will be twice as much as a standard Abarth 500 at £32,000 (S$64,000). It will reach U.K. showrooms by the end of the year and limited to just 499 units.
