Honda Civic Type R takes front-wheel drive lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife

Honda has released footage of the Civic Type R taking on the Nurburgring Nordschleife and setting a new front-wheel drive track record for the now 20.8km track.

The car officially set a new lap time record of seven minutes and 44.9 seconds, demonstrating its dynamic performance. The record-breaking lap was completed on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect tyres. These tyres were jointly developed with Michelin using know-how amassed through the development of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, the standard tyres that are offered with the Civic Type R in the U.S.A.
