  • Land Rover introduces Range Rover LWB in Singapore

    10 Dec 2014

The local customer appeal of Land Rover's family of luxury vehicles has been extended with the launch of a new long wheelbase variant to the Range Rover.

The Range Rover Long Wheelbase (LWB) made its debut in Singapore with the first exclusive Autobiography unit. Bench seats in the very finest perforated Semi-Aniline leathers come as standard on the Range Rover LWB and the Rear Executive Class seats option is available for passengers behind to enjoy individually crafted seats with massage function, a sweeping centre console, and the ability to recline by an additional 17 degrees - eight degrees more than the standard wheelbase option.

Endowed with a state-of-the-art entertainment system putting passengers right in the lap of luxury, the rear seat entertainment system features twin 10.2-inch video screens, wireless remote control and headphones for the finest private audiovisual experience.

Audiophiles will be elevated to a new plane of sensory experience with the Meridian Signature Reference Audio System that features a 29-speaker 3D surround system.

The Range Rover LWB Autobiography is an unparalleled cruiser powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that delivers 503bhp and 625Nm of torque.

Swift but never hurried with seamless transition of the eight-speed automatic gearbox channeling power to all four wheels, the car goes from 0 to 100km/h in 5.8 seconds - respectable for a car that weighs almost 2.5 tonnes.

Although the Range Rover LWB weighs 83kg more than the standard wheelbase option, it maintains its reduced carbon footprint of 299g/km, allowing an ease of eco-conscience with its unmatched combination of clean operation and power.

In addition to the automated Park Assist technology, the Range Rover LWB also comes equipped with Terrain Response 2, perfect for manoeuvring the outdoors. At the flick of a switch, the latest generation of terrain response system from Land Rover reconfigures transmission, suspension and traction settings for maximum drivability in almost all conditions.

Price inclusive of COE (at press time)

Range Rover Long Wheelbase Autobiography 5.0 Supercharged - $828,888

The Range Rover LWB can also be specified in Vogue trim at a price closer to the standard wheelbase option.
