Opel Combo gets new 4x4 variant
19 Feb 2025|88 views
The Opel Combo is now getting a new, all-wheel drive variant, just two years since it was last updated.
This Opel Combo 4x4 was developed in collaboration with renowned all-wheel drive specialist Dangel, and is designed to meet the needs of those who demand the greatest in flexibility and safety.
The model comes powered by a 129bhp turbodiesel engine, which is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the vehicle's front wheels. The rear wheels of the van, meanwhile, are powered by an electric motor, which in turn is animated by a 48V battery pack with a capacity of 4.8kWh.
Opel states that this all-wheel drive system makes the new Combo 4x4 ideal for those who need to visit construction sites or drive through difficult terrain. Further aiding this capability is the fact that the Combo 4x4 also comes with special mudguards for the engine, gearbox and fuel tank, while its total ground clearance has also been raised by a total of 90mm compared to regular front-wheel drive variants.
The Opel Combo 4x4 comes equipped with the firm's adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux Matrix light technology, two 10-inch colour screens in its cabin, and can be had with up to 18 driver assistance systems.
