Polestar has announced that it will be upgrading the Polestar 3.

The electric SUV is set to receive a new software over-the-air update that will allow users to enjoy the convenience and added benefits of their car keys in Apple Wallet. Drivers can automatically unlock or lock and start their vehicle while leaving their iPhone in their pocket or by simply wearing their Apple Watch.

Customers also can share their digital car keys in Apple Wallet through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, WhatsApp, and more with up to five other users, and vehicle owners can also decide whether these additional users are able to gain access to their vehicle or drive it.

The model year 2026 Polestar 3 will also be upgraded with a new Nividia Drive AGX Orin processor. The new processor will give the vehicle increased processing power, and there's good news for current Polestar 3 owners: They will soon also be able to upgrade their current car by visiting a Polestar authorised service point.

Polestar states that customers will be contacted when the new processor is available for fitment.
