In the first Certificate of Entitlement bidding round for March, Cat A saw a small climb while Cat B and Cat E and premiums fell slightly.

    B$45,001▼  $1,001 9421,121
    C$37,513▼  $3,377 255480
    E$47,001▼   $505  296450
In the first round of bidding for March, COE prices rose for Cat A while premiums for Cat B and Cat E saw drops.

The recently announced fuel duty hike may have dissuaded some buyers from making their purchases. This could also explain the fall in the number of bids received for across all non-commercial vehicle categories compared to the last bidding session. The fuel hike penalty to car ownership might not have been as effective in dissuading purchases of smaller cars, which frequently fall under the Cat A category.
