Transport operator SMRT has fired a relief cabby on Wednesday after a video showing the cabby driving recklessly was shared on social media.

A Toyota Prius taxi was seen swerving recklessly into the lane of a motorcycle in the 23-second video clip posted by Facebook user Alan Kong. 

SMRT said that investigations found a relief driver at the wheel of the taxi during the time of incident, and they had terminated his contract.

SMRT added that the taxi driver assigned to the cab was not involved and will continue to drive the cab.
