Car launches are a major feature of the annual Singapore Motor Show, and Citroen has just introduced its new e-C4 X electric sedan to the market here at Singapore Motor Show 2024.

Last year Citroen launched its first ever passenger BEV, the e-C4, which sees a single electric motor in place of the 1.2-litre turbocharged engine in the Citroen C4. This year, building on the success of the e-C4 crossover is the new e-C4 X Electric sedan with its sleek body shape.

With its sedan body style, the e-C4 X has been lengthened and now has a traditional sedan-style boot opening, resulting in a boost in cargo capacity from the e-C4's 380 litre to a generous 510 litres. Despite being a sedan, the e-C4 X's design is far from traditional. Up front is a pair of double-height head lights equipped with Citroen's LED Vision technology to offer maximum visibility while reinforcing the car's high-tech identity. Citroen accentuates the sleekness of the swoopy fastback styling with distinctive indentations and contours throughout the e-C4 X's body to create a truly impactful design.

And it all leads to the distinctive LED taillights that work with the sculpted lines of the rear end, ending in the shape of an arrow.

With 134bhp and 270Nm of torque, the e-C4 X completes the century sprint in 10 seconds

Marketed with the global tagline 'The Power of Calm', the e-C4 X is a car that focuses on a serene driving experience, and it all starts with the smooth electric powertrain. Equipped with a 54kWh battery, the e-C4 X boasts an impressive estimated range of 436km on a single charge with a rapid charging time of 30 minutes (from 20% to 80%) with 100kW DC Fast Charging. The e-C4 X produces 134bhp and 270Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 10 seconds. .

But that isn't all; the e-C4 X comes with an array of features that adds to the experience At the heart of the e-C4 X lies Citroen's revolutionary Progressive Hydraulic Cushions. This is a suspension system that provides driving pleasure by offering a 'flying carpet' effect across slight compressions, avoiding any rebound effect on poor road surfaces. The Advanced Comfort Seats which recline 27 degrees further compared to the ones in the e-C4 further adds to the comfort when riding in the e-C4 X.

Driving the e-C4 X is made simpler with its suite of innovative safety features that includes a Reversing Camera with Top Rear Vision, Intelligent Beam Headlights that cleverly avoids dazzling other road users, Extended Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring System and the Active Safety Brake emergency braking system.
