Italian automaker Fiat brought their own 4x4 Panda to the Paris Motor show last weekend. This model is based on the standard 5-door hatchback version and is measured at 3680mm long, 1670mm wide and 1600mm tall, with a 2300mm wheelbase. In terms of styling, this model has a more rugged feel compared to the regular variant sibling.
The model comes with underbody protection, plastic body cladding and a bunch of aluminum accents, while the ride height has been increased. It features 15-inch alloys with 175/65 R15 M+S rubbers and a 'torque on demand' transmission system with electronically controlled coupling and two differentials.

Powering the Fiat Panda 4x4 is the Panda's 'TwinAir' 0.9-litre turbocharged I-2 that produces 85bhp. An 80bhp dual fuel version that runs on gasoline and methane will also be offered. Those who prefer diesel engines can opt for the MultiJet II 1.3-litre turbodiesel I-4 that will churn 75bhp. Both engines are paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
If you think the recent news on the arrival of Pandas in Singapore has caused too much hype and a whole lot of news, here is a different Panda for you to read about.

The Panda 4x4 will be offered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive version uses an electronic locking differential to route power where it's needed. Most of the time, the front wheels will be propelling the Panda along. For especially slippery terrain, full-time all-wheel drive can be activated with the flip of a switch.
