Four famous British track day supercars from Ariel, BAC, Caterham and Radical will be driven to the absolute limit as they do battle to set a new lap record at the 2013 Cholmondeley Pageant of Power, which is on from 14th - 16th June.
Each of the track day supercars will undertake six potentially record-breaking runs on the 2km twisty, undulating Pageant circuit during the three-day event. The current course record, set last year by Caterham's 330bhp SP/300.R, currently stands at 61.89 seconds.
Ariel Atom 3.5
The latest model from Somerset-based Ariel, the Atom 3.5 is fitted with a compact 245bhp 2.0-litre Honda i-VTEC engine and a six-speed transmission.
Atom pilot Niki Faulkner set a new lap record in 2010 at the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera LP 570-4, taking on the course in an astonishing 62.68 seconds. At the wheel of the Ariel Atom, there's a distinct chance that Faulkner could once again top the leader board.
BAC Mono
The Cheshire-built BAC Mono single-seater features a super sleek aerodynamic body and a top speed of 274km/h. Powered by a 280bhp, 2.3-litre normally aspirated engine with a six-speed paddleshift gearbox, the Mono can reach 100km/h in 2.8 seconds. Last year, the Mono won the supercar class, completing a lap in just 63.06 seconds, which the team at BAC hopes to beat this year.
Local driver Oliver Webb, just 22 years old, has raced UK Formula 3 and Indy Lights in the USA, and raced the Mono on its Pageant of Power debut in 2011. He is currently competing in the World Series by Renault FR3.5 championship with 2012 title-winning team Fortec.

Radical Sportscars, the world's largest manufacturer of trackday and racing cars, will be bringing the awesome SR8 RX to Cholmondeley. The latest generation of Radical's acclaimed 2.7-litre RP V8 engine produces 430bhp and powers the SR8 RX through a unique six-speed paddleshift transaxle.
Physics-defying grip, relentless acceleration and powerful brakes add up to a two-seater track car that can lap Silverstone in the same time as a Formula 3 single-seater.
Radical's race driver for the Pageant will be one of their own - Marketing Manager Roger Green, a highly respected racer, having competed in GT3 and Radical race series over several seasons while working as a features writer for EVO magazine.
Caterham SP/300.R
The SP/300.R is a complete departure from Caterham's legendary Seven. Co-developed with Lola Cars, the lightweight (545kg) machine features a mid-mounted supercharged 330bhp engine, Hewland FTR racing gearbox and racecar aerodynamics. Its top speed is 290km/h, while it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
Returning to the Pageant with Caterham, Scott Mansell is the current lap record holder, setting a blistering time of 61.89 seconds in 2012. Scott is a Caterham Drive Experience instructor, and also drove successfully in the EuroBOSS, Indy Pro Series and Superleague Formula during the 2004-to-2009 seasons.
