Consumer Reviews

Owned this car for 2.5 years already, travelled close to 80,000km.
This car is really spacious, for backseat passengers. I wonder how did Honda manage to carve up so much space at the back in a small body. It makes me wonder what the other cars like the Corolla Axio/Altis, Civic do with their space which result in less space than the Airwave.
Love the moonroof...
Pretty economical engine, i average around 450km-500km on 38-40 litres of fuel (Full tank is 42L). The engine is also environmentally friendly (120g/km CO2 output).
Steering is pretty sharp as little movements in steering wheel result in immediate movement. Handling is good too. But the car rolls too much in corners. It needs a rear anti rollbar to solve that problem.
Boot is huge, able to store lots of barang-barang.
Dashboard plastics can be better, as it marks quite easily. Sound insulation can be better too, that's why the car's pretty light at 1.16 tonnes (Mit Lancer EX 1.2 tonnes already!).
Engine is pretty strong when VTEC kicks in at 3500rpm. Revs eagerly to 6500rpm, reaches pretty fast to 180km/h. A little bit of float at high speeds but otherwise impressively stable.
Air-con a bit weak though. Interior takes some time to cool...
Overall, highly recommended. Once you buy the Airwave, do not forget to join the Airwave club and meet us on Friday nights!
