tested it, the facelifted S300L...
Its a nice looking car, better than 7 series in exterior and interior with silent ride which i like most. No tyre noise and wind noise
BUT... the ride not stable as i felt the suspension too soft and in hump, u can feel it even though its 4matic suspension.
The BAS system which assist you in controlling the brake maybe a good technology but you feel unease as the car are having difficulties in stopping. the brake pedal is hard to press..
the acceleration is quite slow compared to its class like A8, XJ and 730Li and interior is so so. side mirror is small and seat no aircon ventilation.

Tried the S350 and was given the privillege to drive a longer test route.
The interior was nicely blended in, a typical level ups in the Mercedes Benz range of the higher quality built.
If I didnt forget, it comes with electric adjustable rear seats too which is great for some who likes to have wider leg room. The reverse camera(if I didnt remember wrongly) is also great to have, due to his longer body.
The gear stick was different (was by the right side like a wiper stick) and was not used to it at first but later its ok. It comes with good surround speakers.
The ride was smooth not because of its big capacity but more of its stability. Overtaking was definately a breeze and cruising was shiok.
Overall, its quite a good luxury car to consider, comparing to other japanese makes due to its prestige and built quality but it can match towards other similar conti counterparts like BMW 7 Series, depending you prefer prestige or sportiness in this luxury category.

The S-Class is a brilliant luxury car built from the finest materials to exacting standards. It is big on style and performance and is one of the world's truly great cars indeed. I was very happy when I got this car. It exceeded all my expectations and has been serving me well for the past one year.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has long been regarded as a benchmark in the premium luxury sector.
Being the largest sedan in the Mercedes Benz line up, the long wheel base S-Class offers rear seat passengers ample space to stretch out, making it the perfect transport tool for heads of state and chief executives.
Looking at the S class interior fit and finish, one gets the impression that it is built to exacting standards with quality materials.
Big on presence and instantly recognizable as a status symbol for those who have made it in life, this can be considered as one of the world's ultimate luxury express.

When you open the door, turn on the engine via keyless go, and set the aircon temperature... Every button touched feels that it has been properly built. The Ambient lighting is amazing for night driving, makes you feel very secure. Rear Seats has not been forgotten too, Reclining seats, Ventilated seats, Rear aircon controls makes you feel right at home on your favorite seat. The interior is so ergonimicly designed where you would expect everything is. COMAND system so easy to use. Drive could be better for 3 liter, could use more power. however S350 is good enough for singapore driving.

This is where the S-class starts to earn its not-inconsiderable cash outlay. The ride quality is exceptional, the isolation all but complete. No wind noise thanks to double-glazed windows, heated/ventilated and massaging seats, oodles of space - there's nothing quite like it. The S looks like a posh private hire limo. When you start adding in the daft engines and tech, it starts to look a bit more attractive. Take a ball-bearing in your hand and weigh it thoughtfully. That's the kind of engineering you're talking about in an S-class; incredibly satisfying and might last longer than you do. Great materials, lovely interior, the kind of clunk-thunk that you get when you slam a 1000kg safe door into a timelock.
