Owned this car for more than 2 years and still truly in love with it. I must say I truly enjoy the drive, the character, the look, and still having fun seeking its handling potential. It has the soul of a sportscar with lots of fun, extremely practical design, intelligent utility layout!

I bought it 2 years ago as i would like myself to have something different from the toyota and honda. I got bored with my previous altis in just 3 months and sold it. Civic, accord and camry are never my cup of tea after test driving them, I was so lucky spot this sporty car on the road and decided to go for a test drive. Wow! It was just so different from those I have driven, its ride and handling were just too good to believe. It even surprised my cousin who owned an A4 and a Gti, who shared my view that it handled even better than his A4.

Not only the handling which surprised me, in daily use, it is just so versatile! It managed to help me in separate occasion to carry a 42 inch plasma tv, a 5kg washer, 2 primary school boy bicycle, 7 large and medium size luggage bag and still sit 4 in the car! Wow. I never want it to perform a mpg stuff but it did!

Further, there are 2 power points in the car, it is just so useful!

While people warned me on the mazda's fc before my decision, but those who warned me never own a Mazda. I believe in physic, not hearsay.

How could a car that weigh lighter, using the similar engine layout and so much more agile than its competitor could consume more? I have been hearing people complaining that their Vios consume more than 10 liters for every 100km, but when I asked further, he used the car to travel from Choa Chu kang to yew tee. So what are they complaining about! It is common sense...

I bought Mazda 6 because i like it, now I love it, it contributed so much to my lifestyle. kids enjoy their bicycle rides at park, Wife enjoy the nice audio and comfortable seat, I enjoy the handling and fun characters of the car, never worry the boots is no enough for goods. What I can expect more?

I owned a hatchback 2009 Mazda 6.

Lousiest car I've owned!

I m disappointed with mazda. first week after getting the new car, the side mirror not working. then there is a "rattling noise" at the air-con duct. send the car for repairs came back with more repairs. the agent spoil the speakers, damage the remote control. moreover, they dont have parts so have to wait for them to order so have to wait for weeks. their re-paint job is worse than the original paint. a few washings can blur the paint. overall, poor quality control and bad after sales service.

Here's where thinking Mazda may mark you out as shrewd in a pack of predictables. So, you bought a Mazda6 instead of a Passat?

The Mazda6 is a brilliant mid-size saloon that tends to be overlooked for no good reason apart from slight fear of the badge. Well made, solid handling, good looks. Not much to dislike. Rear headroom isn't in the galactic leagues for tall people, but there's plenty of space in the front, and the suspension is very well worked out. Every engine apart from the base 118bhp petrol makes fine progress. Perfectly capable of big mileages and a long-term relationship. Underrated and solid, yes. Cool, no. Big jump in interior quality. Really very solid build, great materials usage and a sensible 'clunk' from the non-specific door-slam test. Could pass for something from the class above if you covered up the badges and did a bit of leather wrapping, fetish style. Good work Mazda. Bizarrely, the 6 is actually great fun to drive. There's a generous amount of grip from the front-wheel drive set-up, a talkative chassis and - if you switch off the electronic nannies - driving enjoyment to be had. Mazda actually looked at its own marketing and added a bit of 'Zoom-bloody-Zoom'. Excellent. As i've said the curvy roofline makes for cricked necks for tall rear-seat passengers, but otherwise the 6 works as well as any medium saloon. The boot's big at 519litres and you can fold the seats to get 1096 if you really need to.

A car above its class

Having decided to get a new ride, I did my research for a luxury executive sedan. Not too many to compare given my budget.

- Mazda 6 2.0

- Volkswagen Jetta 1.4TSI

- Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0

- Subaru Legacy

Here's my evaluation/ranking based on my requirements;

1. Appearance - M6, Lancer, Legacy, Jetta

2. Features - M6, Lancer, Legacy, Jetta

3. Performance - Jetta, Lancer, Legacy, M6

Hence, I've decided to get the Mazda 6. Having owned the 2.0 model for 1 week now, I am glad I made the right choice. Upgraded my rims to 18", it just look even better, more sporty. The drive is good, slightly bumpy but still acceptable. Interior is very classy, features are excellent, no complaints.

The most beautiful and masculine car for young executive

The drive is very engaging. Driven the highly rated 320 previously but Mz6 just felt better.

The paddle shifting can be quite jerky from 1-2. Otherwise, the gear change is seamless.

Turns head without fail. Rare on the road perhaps due to high depreciation.

Mazda 6 - a car above it's class

Have had this car for a year now. It's a great drive. I have the 2.5 litre and that's the best option. It takes a second for the engine to kick in when you floor it in automatic but in manual this thing is a beast. Faster than the BMW 320/520i.

Extremely spacious - specially in the back. I've sat 4 grown men. Awesome legroom. The 2.5 litre comes with great features like moon-roof, bose 8 speaker system, keyless entry, 18" sport rims, paddle shift. Amazing value for money for a car in this segment. Also, you don't get ripped off on the service which is extremely affordable. And - the Mazda staff in Kampong Ampat are fantastic. I've called in the morning, taken the car there at lunch and got it back the same day.

Downsides - in city driving fuel efficiency is not superb. But on expressways it sips gas once you're driving at a steady 60 and above.

Excellent styling which makes head turns. Very comfortable drive with continental feel. However, road noise can be improved. Overall, its a great car to own and drive compared to other makes of same cat. Go for the 2.5l...Its definately better value for your money compared to the 2l with much better features..(Bose premium sound system, smart keyless entry with keyless start, and sunroof, etc....) Its the Car that makes, Accord looks outdated, Camry feels boring and Cefiro urr...
