Test drove when Diesel is still a great choice, urge by the SE to go for a spin after a hard day at drive.
The short drive put a smile on my face. The large Infotainment screen is something unique with the Portrait style instead of the regular landscape style setup by all others marque.
tested the different setting and drive mode and its a small impressive car.
If only the manual version was available, i would have pull the cheque book.

Yes, it's been 10,000km and I'm still enjoying the car!
Initially, I had experienced rattling noises in the cabin which wouldn't go away. After visiting the workshop to complain about the noise, it was discovered that one of the aircon piping was not secured properly. After the fixing it, now the cabin is back to being quiet again.
The fuel economy has improved slightly after running in the engine. So far no issues other than the rattling noise. I find myself driving more due to the economy and not worry about fuel costs as compared to my previous 2.0l Petrol Lancer.
Also love the LED lights and unique rear lamps. Furthermore, have not seen a single GT-Line with the same colour as mine, so I'm really happy to have such a unique car!

So far so good. Enjoy every moment driving it..
1st tank of fuel wasn't impressive
2nd tank so so..
3rd tank is good. Maybe after some run in the car can perform better.

When it was time to change from my trusty Japanese sedan as it was nearing the 10 year mark, I went to test drive the following brands:
- Jeep (Renegade)
- Subaru (Forester, Levorg)
- Renault (...)
At Renault, the salespeople were nice and friendly, and not too pushy. During the 3 times I was there, I test drove the Grand Scenic (twice), the Megane Sedan (twice) and the Megane GT-Line.
Initially, it was a toss up between the Grand Scenic and the Megane Sedan, both of which are very nice cars in their own segment. However, wifey found that the GS was too big for her to handle, so we decided on the Megane Sedan. Before we made the booking, I checked out the specs of the Megane GT-Line and found that it appeals to me more. Why ...
1. It is cheaper than the sedan and has a HIGHER OMV!
2. It looks sportier and it has body hugging sports seats and a thick chunky sports steering wheel compared to normal ones on the sedan.
3. It is a lighter car and the handling around corners felt better during the test drive.
4. In sports mode, the car feels different compared to the sedan in sports mode. The engine sounds nicer and suspension/steering feels tighter then compared to the sedan.
4. It has LED headlamps as compared to HALOGEN headlamps on the sedan.
5. It has automatic parking assist while the sedan did not have this feature (wifey's favourite feature).
The sedan, however, has a really nice sunroof and humongous boot. But if these 2 features are not a top priority for you, I would suggest going for the GT-Line.
At the moment, have yet to collect the car. Will give some updates after doing approx. 5000 kms.

A 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine in the GT Line might not sound like much, but trust me, it's got more than enough punch to keep up with the competition. This sexy-looking beast has got more than just a punchy engine though, it's also got the agility to go with it.
Take this bad boy around some twisties and you'll feel like you can keep going faster without wrapping yourself around a tree. Steering is precise and direct but there is some kickback mid-corner.
The hatchback segment has always been dominated by the Golfs but I think Renault is giving VW a run for its money with its Megane hatches. They look sleeker, more aggressive and less 'unker' than the Golfs. What's not to like?
