Review

Been driving the 2024 Volkswagen ID.5 for about 3 months now and I dare say it is a fantastic all-around electric SUV that seamlessly blends style, practicality, and performance. Here's what I like and dislike about the ID.5.

Chio Design: The ID.5's coupe-like silhouette is a head-turner given it's a sportier look. It is a good looking car, period. Sometimes I just stand outside and admire it's curves. Although it could do with abit more storage, the interior is comfortable and spacious.

Solid Range and Performance: With a range of around 420km (80% charge), the ID.5 offers more than enough juice for daily commutes and weekend adventures. Being first off the traffing light is always a good idea in traffic light city. The acceleration is smooth and responsive, making for an enjoyable driving experience.

VW's infotainment system is simple and straightforward. I do hope there's an update to improve on the UI/UX. And please have in built Car Play and Android Auto. It's 2024.

Personally I feel the ID.5 offers a compelling value proposition in the competitive electric SUV market. If you want to be a common leaf then don't get the ID.5. BUT if you want an EV that's uncommon and I dare say rare, the 2024 VW ID.5 is a fantastic electric SUV that excels in all the right areas. Whether you're looking for a stylish and practical family car or a tech-forward and eco-friendly commuter, the ID.5 is definitely worth considering.

I've owned my ID.5 Pro for 2 months already and have enjoyed driving it around Singapore.

The rear-wheel high powered motor really gives it a different driving experience than my previous BYD Atto 3. I'm being pushed along as part of the vehicle rather than being pulled along in my previous car's front-wheel drive setup. This ID.5 is really an electrified experience rather than a "Computer on wheels".

It is also spacious & comfortable for my family members who are usually the occupants when I drive the ID.5 around. Everyone at home is extremely happy with the upgrade from my previous ride & we are looking forward to more adventures in the ID.5 Pro in the future.

I collected this car and had been driving for 3 months. This car is designed for comfort. If you want comfort, you should consider this car.

Have drove this machine for a week and here are my observations.

Likes:

- Very Spacious for a family of 4 or 5 no issue.

- Interior Finishing well executed in terms of the trims, sports seats and Interior lighting.

- Boot Space commendable even with Coupe Sleek Design at the back.

- ID Features and Safety Features well equipped and reacted accordingly to test situations.

- Power and Stability no doubt RWD is simple awesome and amazing for our Singapore Roads.

- Harman Kardon Sound System is good by default doesn't needs an upgrade.

Dislikes:

- Side Mirrors Display Logo Light quite redundant. Not Displaying VW Logo but displaying a logo which looks more like Renault Logo.

- Should have provided a Glasses compartment.

- Blindspot Indicator Light could have improved interms of design and display.

- TPMS should display the pressure while driving instead of being a safety component meaning only display if there are issues with the tyres.
