Skoda -Enyaq Electric -My FIRST EV Test Drive - Skoda Enyaq.
Saw this charming EV from SKoda Singapore and decided to get a close look at it.
Exterior looking is stunning and sporty (even this base model) while the other coupe and RS ones are more agressive and nicer too.
Interior is stylish, with small gear stick, compact size dashboard too. Function wise similar to their siblings of the new looks.
Drive off is easy but soundless, not used to no engine backsounds. Along the drive, its way too easy to hit or exceed speed limits as way too quiet due to its EV.
Overall, if not that its an EV, its good to consider for its design but due to too many concerns as an EV, I shall forgo it.... Read More
Skoda -Enyaq Electric -Understated Excellent EV Offering Comfort, Practicality and Performance
One of the first to test drive the Enyaq Coupe 85 and Enyaq SUV 80 (the 85 was not yet avail at Ã…Â koda SG). Everything should be the same for Enyaq 80, except that the new 85 comes with new motor that adds 80 more hp and better battery management giving a very excellent 570km wltp range (guess real range about 460km).
Having test driven almost 8 other EVs from the usual Chinese, Korean and German marques, this Ã…Â koda Enyaq really impresses me. The key character that sets it apart is the excellent driving experience, Ã…Â koda did well with putting everything together as a true car driver's EV. Interior practicality and seating comfort is really different and appreciated when compared to US T. To each his own, Ã…Â koda Enyaq interior really looks and feel much more premium than US T.
Performance and Driving Experience
+ Doesn't hide its power with 210kw (285hp) with 545nm torque !
+ Driving experience sets this apart from competition, probably only German B and one Korean K is on par for drive feel. Enyaq has the German engineered car drive experience
+ Steering is sharp and on track
+ RWD means excellent small turning radius
+ Very smooth pick-up and transition, Does not jerk forward like competitors
Comfort
+ This is where it shines, many reviewers only review based on short drive, please take it on highway and feel the ride comfort. Enyaq has firm but not hard suspension set up. The firm ride is true to conti german car design, which makes the drive and ride comfortable. Note other EVs do have "Softer comfy" Suspension, do not be deceived as once they hit highway speed, soft setup leads to wallowing boat ride.
+ Interior is very spacious, but not the most.
+ highly practical and spacious boot
+ one of the best EV interior design in terms of look and plushness
+ Noise insulation and vibration is very good , expected from conti German build (not driven above 80kph)
Software
+ Enyaq 85 supposed to get the version 4.0 which supposedly has rectified all bugs in earlier versions. I can't testify this since it's just short test drive, but can check out reviews in EU and UK.
Overall
+ Test Enyaq 3 times, really impress me with the overall drive feel, performance and practicality
+ importantly the current launch price/performqnce point is sweet for a Cat B EV
+ No, not purchased yet but seriously considering, just felt this Enyaq deserves a first review from me... Read More
