Why I like Zeekr 7X
I am writing this review for the benefits of people like me who do not buy cars regularly. My journey was prompted by the breakdown of my previous car which necessitated for me to consider buying an EV. I did my due diligence in doing researches and reading up on EV models and narrowed down my choice to a few.
I walked into the Premium Automobiles showroom at Leng Kee with an open mind. Basically to test drive the 7X and wait for the car show in early May for a good deal. As many would, my friend read the reviews and picked out Michelle to attend to us and was greeted by her promptly. I remember she asking if I had test driven EVs and told me shockingly to test drive other cars first but make sure to come back and try the 7X because she is 100% sure I will buy 7X at the drop of the hat.
Michelle noted my preferences and driving patterns and advised me to get the 7X Long range as it suits me best. The test drive was impressive. The car is stable and gives me great confidence in terms of safety and truly deserves in European ANCAP rating of 5 stars.
No hesitation and with a quick check with my friends who accompanied me, I duly signed on the dotted line without waiting for the car show even. I am very impressed with both the car and Michelle. As a former Mercedes owner, I've always valued the "Continental" feelโthe weight, the prestige, and the build. But after driving the Zeekr 7X, it's clear the market has shifted. This isn't just a "China car"; it is a market disruptor that has superseded the traditional players in almost every category.

The thoughtfulness in design is staggering. From the clamshell hood that eliminates ugly gap lines to the frameless automatic doors, the 7X has a level of "purity" in its silhouette that you rarely see. Inside, the quality is elite. We're talking Nappa full-grain leather and microfiber suede everywhere. It feels less like a car and more like a high-end luxury lounge.
โWhy it Wins Hands Down:
It's the small details that show Zeekr's lead. The 800V architecture means I'm spending less time at chargers than my friends in European EVs. The rear seats recline to a "limousine" angle, making it an instant upgrade for my family's comfort. Even the storageโwhat they call the "36 Magic Storage Spaces"โshows they actually thought about how families use a car daily.
โThe Tech & Safety:
The "prestigious badge" is no longer a shield for outdated tech. With the Stargate light curtain and the high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body, I feel safer and more technologically "ahead" than I ever did in my previous ICE cars.
โThe Verdict:
Yes, the road tax is higher, but you have to look at the total package. You are getting a car that drives better, charges faster, and feels more premium than the current "Conti" offerings.
