Sunny WRX
Sunny owner for 4 yrs. 1.6 EX auto car in stock condition. Not a heavy footer. Pumps Octane 95, with the occasional 98/V-Power. Standing at over 1.8m tall, with family members mostly giants as well.
When 1st running in of engine back then, FC's about 8km+. Now, it's no far better, standing at 9km+ at most. My car has been labelled as a Sunny-WRX by my friends in jest.
In terms of power, there's a 2 second lag after I floored the accelerator. Meaning to say after you floor the pedal, the car is still in its original position for 2 seconds, afterwhich then it starts to actually move (comments by my dear wife to her amusement). Perhaps it's due to its CVT. Thus, I wouldn't suggest you try beat the traffic light in this car, unless you want to show your wide grin to the TP camera.
After you shifted back the driver seat to the extreme, rear passenger legroom space's is comparable to an airline's economy class seating. Not advisable for family long-trips to KL for example.
In reliability is where Sunny really shines. This car has not given me any problems and has been faithfully serving me all these years.
Boot space is very big indeed, can easily swallow in luggages or heaps of grocery/shopping bags.
In summary, if you're looking for a made-in-japan car to commute from point A to point B, or you intend to get a OPC, or perhaps you're on the park-and-ride scheme, then Sunny's a practical possibility for you.... Read More
