Ford -Focus Sedan -This can be considered
I rented this car for 5 days when i was in New South Wales, Australia. What i like about this car is that it provides you with a profound sense of security when in it and the space big, prolly becoz Im small size. The engine, at a red traffic light turning green is a lil pokey and it has a tendency to jet forward, however picking up to 100km/hr is a tad too slow. Long distance driving is very comfy in this car, and even at 150km/hr, it feels stable without any prominent vibration given that the top speed is 180km/hr. Handling, is superb. I noticed fuel consumption differs with the different grade of petrol used. The interior however is a lil letdown compared to other cars in its class. I would consider a focus if the COE price does goes down, due to its space, handling and the new rugged outlook. Afterall, how fast can u go on the Singapore road, right? :)... Read More
Ford -Focus Sedan -Best Handling Car In Its Class
Got to drive this car for 3 days as a courtesy car. My own car is a 308T but i drive the Altis at times too. I've got to admit that the Focus isn't the car which I had expected it to be, partly because of it's ancient engine which have much trouble pulling the car, and the rough plastics inside. It may trounce many cars in terms of handling but the performance just creates immense frustrations while driving. I would recommend it for people upgrading from cars of similar performance, then maybe, the frustration which I had will not be felt. And comparing to my 308, the 308 demolishes the Focus in every aspect except handling. For a car that already has a new model that is arriving soon, i would say it is an excellent car during its time. Ever since then, the goalpost has been shifted much further and the Focus cannot keep up with the excellent competition in the form of the 308 and Golf. The turbocharged new models coming soon may be the key to setting a new benchmark in its class, given how this current model did back then. For now, wait if you really want a Ford, or go get something else.... Read More
