Comfortable & Powerful Swedish Tank `
Own a 2nd hand Y2005 S60 for 2 months. So far so good. Ride is comfortable, quiet and stable. Fuel consumption is 9-10km/liters. Definitely feel safe in this "Swedish Tank" and I need it for the safety of my family. The car is surprisingly powerful with it's light turbo (2.0T) as experienced going up steep slopes.

Too bad it's end of life soon. `

Test drove this beauty. Loved the cosy interior. The drive was smooth, powerful and it just felt shiok. The turbo is a LPT and just blended nicely as the revs piled up. Must qualify about the reliability part: although I've heard horror stories about the previous S80 T6, my two overly cautious/careful/well-read uncles are driving the S60 - 2.0T & 2.4T. So, I think it must be okie ;-)

A year into owning a S60 `
An under-rated mid exec model from the Safety people - Volvo. I am overall pleased with the performance, maintenance cost and fuel consumption of S60.
Light pressured turbo churned out 180 bhp and max torque from 2,000 rpm, the S60 is a breeze to drive especially on the highway that is. Keeping it within national speed limit requires constant monitoring of the speedometer. Overtaking can be achieved safely from a comfortable margin, thanks to its punchy in line 5 engine.
Maintenance cost at the dealer is obviously costly but many options are available to those who seeks a good deal. Visit volvosgclub.com (S'pore official Volvo forum) to be surprised in this aspect.
Fuel consumption does not disappoint either. Fuel consumption is between 9 to 10 km per litre - admirable for a 2.0 LPT weighing over 1600 kg, with 6 airbags, 2 air curtains, safety cage, impact beams (read not "bars").
