Business and Sporty 1 Series. `
|
|
Went to BMW World 2014 @ MBS.
Tested the Sport series.
Internal gadgets are adequate but no sunroof option.
External styling is good though is small but pretty spacious inside.
The drive was cool with its 8-speed gearbox and RWD (Rear Wheel Drive).
Cornering is GREAT too.
Overall is a handsome car serving young executive and business personnel the sportiness and drive.

I used to own a Suzuki SX4 sedan - reliable car but wasnt very impressed with its pick up and gear change. Shopped around for another car after a year or two and landed into BMW 116i. Excellent Change i should say. Good customer service by BMW - my agent Jann kept me updated on happenings, scooted a good deal with bmw for me and delivered the car promptly. Transfer of ownership was with ease with bmw delivering my IC on time to where i was.

Fun drive + Cost Effective `
|
|
No car maker can truly place the 2 sentences on the same car; "Fun to drive" and "Fuel saving"
What started out as an entry level car for BMW lovers back in 2004, has now grown to fit 3 series shoes (think E30 - E36) to provide a car that can bring you from point A to point B in whatever manner you like, from plain-Jane chugging along to wannabe F1 driver.
For a conventional combustion engine, the 1 series has truly impress many (myself included) with its fuel sipping drive. Though it will not rival Toyota and Honda's Hybrid models on fuel savings, but it sure does give one an option for a fun drive yet economical drive.
For the difference in fuel saving and for just a small $30k more, the 1 series offer an engaging drive, luxury comfort and ample head space. To gain the same comfort and a hybrid at that, one need to fork out at least $70k and more so for that engaging driving.
With the 114d announced recently, the 1 may just lead the charge to further improve existing combustion technology.
1 series truly encapsulate the idea of cost saving, and retain the DNA of BMW's engaging & quality drive
