XPENG X9 Electric

Been driving the Xpeng X9 for some time and overall it's a very impressive MPV with strong potential. The handling is excellent for such a large car, and the comfort level is top-notch — the leather seats are soft and supportive. Range is solid too, giving me around 530 km on a 90% charge. The car feels spacious, futuristic, and very practical for a big family. Features like the 360° camera, auto parking, and remote shifting make daily driving and parking much easier. Voice control improves over time, although it still requires clear pronunciation. However, the car suffers from major connectivity issues. Once you enter Malaysia, the built-in SIM cannot roam, so the car loses all data connection — no Spotify, no YouTube, no Google Maps on the car screen, and no phone-to-car link. Even in Singapore, the app and Spotify sometimes disconnect randomly. The air-con is also weaker than expected, especially on hot afternoons. The 7-seat seatbelt sensors are great for safety but inconvenient as they cannot be muted. Despite these issues, the X9's strengths outweigh the weaknesses. If Xpeng solves the connectivity and air-con problems, this could easily be one of the best MPVs out there.... Read More
