Jenson Button's father, John Button, passed away in January this year and as part of a memorial for his late father, the McLaren star driver will wear a special pink helmet at this weekend's British Grand Prix.

John Button has been a strong pillar of support for his son and played a key role throughout his career. He was a familiar and popular member of the paddock, thanks to his charismatic and charming personality, and has only missed one of Jenson's 247 Grand Prix starts.

Ahead of the race in Silverstone, fans have also been encouraged to buy the 'Pink for Papa' shirt, aimed at raising money for the Henry Surtees Foundation, set up by Former World Champion John Surtees. The foundation aims to assist and support people with injuries caused by accidents. An additional 4,000 shirts have been made in the build up to the weekend after the original 1,000 ran out quickly.
