Around 500 residents from Admiralty gathered yesterday to celebrate at the groundbreaking session of the new Woodlands South MRT station.

The new station, located on Woodlands Avenue 1, is part of the upcoming Thomson Line. The first stretch of three stations from Woodlands North to Woodlands South is slated for completion by 2019.
