Lamborghini has launched the Huracan - the successor to the iconic Gallardo V10 supercar - with more performance, technologies and flair than before.

Lamborghini has officially launched the new Huracan LP610-4 in Singapore. The 5.2-litre V10 supercar is the successor to the Gallardo, Lamborghini's most popular and successful model in history with more than 14,000 units sold in its ten-year production lifespan.

The launch event at Clifford Pier was graced by Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, highlighting the significance of the Singapore market in the region.

The Huracan also made its local appearance in January this year at various private viewings for existing Lamborghini owners and selected guests.

Expectedly, performance in the new supercar gets a boost, with the 5.2-litre V10 dishing out 610bhp to all four wheels and accomplishing the century sprint in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed is now rated at more than 325km/h.

The powerplant is coupled to an all new fast-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, an improvement over the automated manual unit found in its predecessor. Measuring 600mm in length, the gearbox is compactly mounted behind the V10 at the rear of the Huracan.

On the inside, the redesigned interior allows for a more ergonomic experience, thanks to greater space and enhanced visibility from the cabin. The seats have also been recontoured, with integrated backrests to provide better support. A large 12.3-inch TFT screen behind the steering wheel also offers high-definition visuals of the car's vital information, and a total of three display modes for the driver to choose from.

At launch, prices for the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 start from $1.168 million (excluding taxes).
