Bentley Motors has announced the full details of its new sector-defining model, the Bentayga. Bentley's first production SUV, the Bentayga is the fastest, most powerful, most luxurious and most exclusive SUV in the world.

The Bentayga is powered by an all new twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine, delivering 600bhp and 900Nm of torque. 0-100km/h takes just 4.0 seconds, and the Bentayga hits a top speed of 301km/h, making it the world's fastest and most powerful SUV.

Visually, the Bentayga bears distinctive Bentley styling touches, sculpted with an elegant and timeless execution. From the four round LED headlamps, large matrix grille to the muscular haunches, you could recognise its Bentley DNA in an instant. The Bentayga also comes with a panoramic glass roof as standard.

It is more of the same trademark Bentley luxury on the inside, with handcrafted leather, wood, and metal trim. The central console features Bentley's all new 8.0-inch touch screen infotainment system, and rear seat passengers get Bentley's Entertainment Tablet (a removable 10.2-inch Android device). Customers can also choose from three different sound systems, with the top-of-the-range Naim for Bentley Premium Audio consisting of a network of 18 speakers and super-tweeters producing 1,950W.

The Bentayga comes packed with technology to ensure maximum comfort, driveability and off-road capability. Bentley Dynamic Ride is the world's first electric active roll control technology that ensures maximum tyre contact for cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling. The Bentayga also features Electronic Stability Control (ESC), multi-mode Traction Control (TCS), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), as well as a large number of driver aids.

The Bentayga comes with a whole host of customisation options, including 17 exterior paint colours, 15 carpet options, seven handcrafted veneers, 15 choices of interior trim hide, and the widest range of lifestyle accessories ever offered by the brand. As with all Bentleys, the Bentayga can also be handed over to the highly skilled and dedicated craftspeople at Mulliner, who will respond to bespoke customer requirements.

The Bentayga will make its full public debut at this month's Frankfurt Motor Show, with customer deliveries set to commence in early 2016.
