Audi has unveiled the second generation TT RS, in both Coupe and Roadster forms.
The new TT RS is the first recipient of Audi's new turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine, which has an aluminium block instead of the current steel block. The new motor packs 395bhp and 480Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with TT RS specific rations, and comes with launch control software and steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.
Styling tweaks include new front and rear bumpers, wider door sills, deeper air intakes at the front, oval exhaust pipes and a large fixed rear spoiler. The TT RS also rides on a lowered chassis, 10mm lower than the standard TT. Additional changes include stiffer springs and dampers, as well as 19.0-inch alloy wheels as standard.
